Will Smith’s Greetings from the French Market Corporation

“Greetings from the French Market Corporation” is artist Will Smith Jr’s second streetcar for the YLC Streetcar Named Inspire project.  The sponsor of this car is the French Market Corporation, and the French Market is the future home of this car.  Currently it can be found on Decatur Street outside Cafe du Monde in the French Market, at the foot of Gov. Nichols Street.

Alex Beard’s Who Dat?

Famous artist, Saints fan and former New Orleans resident Alex Beard is the artist for this New Orleans’ Saints themed and sponsored streetcar, “Who Dat?”  This car can be found outside the Superdome at 1500 Poydras St.

John Lamouranne’s New Orleans Sports Car

John Lamouranne’s “New Orleans Sports Car” is located at 1450 Poydras St., outside the Dominion Tower.

John Lamouranne’s Only at Tulane . . . Only in New Orleans

John Lamouranne’s “Only at Tulane . . . Only in New Orleans” is aptly located at University Center of Tulane, its sponsor.  This car can be found on McAlister Dr. between Freret St. and Drill Rd.

Lori Gomez’s Downtown Streetcar

The Downtown Development District is the sponsor of Lori Gomez’s “Downtown Streetcar.”  This car is aptly located at Basin & Canal (next to the Saenger Theatre)—the future site for the Art Pavilion that will built with the proceeds raised by the YLC’s Streetcar Named Inspire project.

Ms. Gomez describes this streetcar as representing downtown New Orleans through the year:

Starting with Storyville which produced JAZZ legend Louis Armstrong who played at the last two remaining buildings “The Eagle Saloon ” & ” Iroquios Theatre.”  Also fashion through the years, the 1st Trolley car and a favorite meeting place, under the CLOCK at D.H. Holmes.
