Tracey Jackson’s Green New Orleans

Tracey Jackson’s streetcar (it’s not formally titled) at 1340 Poydras is the artist’s vision of a greener New Orleans.

Sponsored by MWH, Tracey says:

The streetcar exhibits a wildlife jazz band that struts down the New Orleans strip led by a Pelican Grand Marshall.  The N.O. skyline consists of varied shades of green evoking an environmentally conscious N.O., rich in architecture, jazz, culture, and food indigenous to the City.

I love this work! Are you going to be at the World Cultural Economic Forum? It’s Oct 30-Nov 1 and they have an art bazaar. I would love to see you exhibit there.

Great Concept! The artists’ vision was wonderfully accomplished, no need for interpretation here!
