More Streetcars!

The team at the Young Leadership Council has installed several more streetcars and will be installing more this weekend (June 6-8, 2008). For those of you wanting to hunt cars, here are the locations of some of the streetcars that StreetCarArt.com doesn’t have pictures of yet. We’re going to catch up–I promise! Nola’s family obligations and my work schedule have us both on the sidelines photography-wise.

Metamorphisis: Journey of a Lifetime by Kim Griffin and sponsored by Gibbs Construction has been placed at the Riverfront/Aquarium.

The Flavor of New Orleans by Lori Gomez and sponsored by Raising Canes Chicken Fingers LLC, is located in Lafayette Square.

Le vie abondante de Louisiane by Lita Ducote is sponsored by Ericksen Krentel & LaPorte LLP; it has been installed on their office balcony at 4227 Canal St.

You may see others around town, like I said StreetCarArt.com is playing catch-up. Special hanks to Mike Atwater and the other folks at the YLC for keeping us up-to-date.

Update: Readers have sent in some new locations. See the comments below. Thanks, Stacey & Judy!

I have seen one outside Fat Harry’s on St. Charles and Napoleon. There was another one I saw just recently as well that hasn’t gotten showcased here yet and I can’t remember where I saw it! darn it!

3 more have arrived at 212 St Charles.
One outside, one in the atrium and one in Stella jones Art gallery

Ericksen Krentel & LaPorte LLP is at 4227 Canal St, rather than 4226. I just saw that one this morning.

    Found 2 more today.

One at 1250 Poydras with a Hornets theme and one at 622 Canal St in a window with a Jazz theme.

Thanks for your sightings! I’ve got photos of the Lafayette Square and Fat Harry’s cars, Nola is out and about today with the complete list from the YLC and is getting as many as she can. I have to work today, tomorrow and Tues. all day every day (getting a publication out to printer) and then I’ll be able to edit photos and write posts.

We should be up-to-date by the end of the week.
